Was scrolling through Craigslist when I saw a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Figured there had to be something special about it, and it turns out it’s a completely stock M Edition with only 35k miles. Appears to be in very nice condition, and I love the color combo. However, $9200 for an NA Miata...

As a 94 M-edition owner, I wish my car looked that damn nice. But a 21 year old car that gets driven less than 2k miles a year is still going to need things replaced. There just isn’t any point to buying a NA for that much. The only reason to buy this car is if you REALLY want the nicest NA possible.

Nice if you want to stick in a garage with the rest of your collection... Kinda pointless if you want to actually drive it.

Wow...that’s a ton of money for an NA. I wonder if it will ever sell.

That thing is nice. 9k I’d a push IMO, but I could totally see paying 7k if that’s as nice as it looks. Would drive the wheels off it...

If you check BringaTrailer you’ll see that cars very similar to this one sell for over $10k at auction, consistently.
Keep the E36, it has a fixed roof so you can stage rally it if you ever want to.

That seems silly. I’d rather buy 3 Miatas with 175k on each of them.

I don’t know if it’s necessarily a good thing that the car was only driven 1500 miles per year. These are meant to be driven. My mom’s never had a single problem until she started letting it sit.

Convertible be damned, i wanna see more of what’s lurking in the background.

Even though I desperately want an NA Miata, I could never see myself selling the E36 for one. But if I had the funds to keep one as a second car, then absolutely.
